Undergraduate Research Opportunities
Undergraduate students who work in our lab have the opportunity to gain many rich research experiences, which may include the following:
- Experience with recruiting and consenting families for study participation at Kent State University or Akron Children's Hospital
- Assisting in implementing study procedures with research participants
- Administrative duties such as preparing data collection packets, administering questionnaires to participants, and data entry using SPSS
- Participating in professional development opportunities with clinical psychology graduate students and/or Dr. Sato
- Advanced research assistants also have the opportunity to present their independent or co-investigative research at the Kent State Undergraduate Research Symposium or a national psychology conference
